How to reset sunbeam electric blanket
Verify that the control is securely attached to the blanket’s module. Plug the electrical cord back into the wall socket.
On a digital control, flashing symbols should appear, and then your control’s display should go blank. The blanket has been reset.
Heated blankets stop working
Make sure the cord is securely fastened to the blanket when using a sunbeam heated blanket blinking light.
Check to see if any dirt or particles have gotten into the plug or on the cord that plugs into the blanket by pulling the plug out of the blanket attachment. The cord should be reinserted into the blanket attachment.
Fix the electric blankets
When connections become slack or the heating wire breaks, repairs are required. Before you fix the blanket, identify the malfunction’s root cause.
It may be less expensive and time-consuming to purchase a new blanket, depending on the issue.
Fold Test
Keep in mind that newer warming products may not feel immediately hot to the touch because they are not made the same way as older ones. Sunbeam advises completing the fold test to see if your blanket is heating up properly.
Fold your blanket as though you were about to put it away before doing this. Unfold the blanket without looking for the controls.
Verify that the connection between the control cord and the connecting module is secure. If not, attach it by securing the plastic clasps.
Turn the blanket “on,” select the highest setting, and plug the power cord into an electrical socket. Place your hand between the folds to see if the blanket is warming up after waiting a short while (no longer than 7).
If not, you might want to try resetting it or calling Sunbeam’s customer service department.
Using a universal remote, reset
When all of the indicator lights on a universal remote control start to blink together, press and hold any button and wait for it to turn off again.
Your Sunbeam electric blanket will also be reset by doing this. Please be careful not to mix up your TV remote with your Sunbeam electric blanket.
Button to Reset
You can remove the heated blanket from its cover and insert a tiny safety pin at the end of a wire into a reset hole on the circuit board of your Sunbeam electric blanket to reset it.
This will cause a tiny reset button with a spring-loaded release to pop out. For approximately 15 seconds, press and hold it before releasing it. for more info: Mykitchenpoint
Fuse issues with power cords
If the plug appears to be damaged, replace it. It is advised to have an electrician have a look. If you wish to do it yourself, open the power cord at both ends, swap out the wires, and then rejoin them while wearing gloves with heat protection.
You can use a multimeter to see if the power cord is the source of your issue. If the power cable is not the issue, it can be the outlet. Replace it, then try once again.
